About me
2017 – 2021
I got my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Economics ("Wirtschaftsinformatik" in german) from the Nordakademie, a private university near Hamburg. While studying I was a trainee at CANCOM, which provides IT hardware and services to local businesses. During this phase, I was trained in all levels of IT (from building servers to developing software). I found my love for programming while building specialized monitoring tools for our Security Operations Center.
2021 – 2025
After my Bachelor's time, I transferred to justtrack where I worked as Go developer doing agile development of digital Ad-tracking and analytics products. I learned a lot about software development at scale, navigating millions of lines of code and building services that process thousands of events per second.
In 2023 I started a Master's degree in Bioinformatics at the University of Hamburg while I continued working as a part-time Software Developer. I finished the degree in 2025 with my thesis on "Low-Rank Representation of Two-Electron Integrals" in the Tölle Research Group.
2026 – Now
After my Master's thesis I started a Ph.D. in the Tölle Research Group where I now work on developing novel ways to employ advanced Tensor Decomposition techniques (like Tensor Hypercontraction) in the study of highly correlated quantum materials. To this end I developed the open source Python library PyTHC, which implements a multitude of algorithms in the Least-Squares Tensor Hypercontraction framework and aims to improve accessibility and comparability in the LS-THC landscape. A preprint of the accompanying paper can be found under Publications.
